This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. 3.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, password, city, state, date of birth
- Profile information: years of driving experience, driver type, route preferences, interests, skills, and other optional profile fields
- Content: text posts, audio messages, video messages, photos, and road update reports
- Communications: messages sent to other users, friend requests, and user reports
- Payment information: processed securely through Stripe (we do not store payment card details)

- Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
- Location data: GPS coordinates (collected on app launch and feed refresh, with your permission)
- Usage data: features used, interaction patterns, timestamps, and crash reports

6. Location Data
PrixTrip uses your precise location to power core features including the proximity-based feed, map pins, friend nearby alerts (within 4-mile radius), and geotagged posts. Location is refreshed on app launch and feed refresh - we do not continuously track your location in the background. You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings; however, this will limit the App's functionality, and the feed will fall back to chronological order.
7. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Stripe: For secure payment processing
- Google Maps: For map display and location features
- Cloud infrastructure providers: For secure data hosting and storage
- Law enforcement: When required by law or to protect safety
All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements compliant with GDPR requirements.
8. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active and deleted upon account deletion request
- Temporary road update posts: Automatically deleted 2 hours after creation
- Messages: Retained while both user accounts are active
- Audio/video content: Retained in accordance with message retention policies
- Payment records: Retained as required by tax and financial regulations

Under GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data via profile editing
- Erasure: Delete your account and associated data from the Settings page
- Data Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests

10. Data Security

PrixTrip is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will promptly delete the account and associated data.
12. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, for any international data transfers.
13. Push Notifications
With your consent, we send push notifications for friend requests, new messages, post replies, friend proximity alerts, road update alerts, and priority admin alerts. You can manage notification preferences in the App settings or your device settings at any time.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
